What is Detailing?

Valeting usually takes around 1/2 a day at maximum, Detailing will take much longer than this (up to a week in some cases) ensuring that you are provided with a fresh base to care for, giving you the maximum protection and the ultimate finish. Detailing aims to remove or improve upon the appearance (depending on the severity of the defects) of cob webbing, swirl marks, light scuffs and scratches, micro marring, buffer trails, hologramming, hazing, industrial fallout and contamination that all leaves the paintwork looking tired and robbing it of it's true gloss & clarity. Paint correction aims to reverse the damage left by automatic and hand car washes, before applying long lasting sealants or carnauba waxes to protect the paint;  making future maintenance of the vehicle quicker and easier.

In summary, a detail is a far more thorough procedure where no part of the car is left untouched. Whether it be a protection, enhancement, mild correction or major correction detail, a detail is a worthwhile investment for any vehicle. This is a particularly good idea to consider when either selling a car (Parkers & Glasses Guide suggest that a well kept, well presented, clean car can add in some cases, hundreds of pounds to the resale value) or just after purchasing a car, as the products used in a detail will often outlast the expensive 'dealer option' sealants (Supaguard, Autoglym Lifeshine, Gard X, Diamondbrite to name a few) and weigh in as a far more cost effective option and ensure the car is kept looking it's best from day 1.
