Protection for the bike you love to ride.

Your bike deserves more than protection. It deserves Refined Detail.

From high-performance carbon road bikes to premium mountain bikes, gravel bikes and e-bikes, modern bicycles are engineered to be ridden — but that doesn't mean they need to show every mark that comes with it.

Our premium Paint Protection Film provides a virtually invisible barrier against the everyday damage that can take its toll on your frame.

Stone chips. Cable rub. Chain slap. Heel rub. Transport damage.

Protect the finish. Preserve the investment. Ride without worrying about every little mark.

Invisible protection. Exceptional finish.

A bicycle frame presents a very different challenge to a car. Tight contours, complex junctions, intricate frame designs and difficult-to-access areas demand a high level of precision.

That's where our experience in professional Paint Protection Film installation makes the difference.

At Refined Detail, we approach every bike as an individual project. The frame is meticulously prepared before carefully applying the film to the areas most vulnerable to damage.

Where possible, edges are wrapped and the film is carefully positioned to keep the installation as discreet as possible.

The finished result should look like your bike — only better protected.

Why bike PPF?

Your bike takes the punishment. Your paint doesn't have to. Even careful riders encounter situations that can leave permanent marks on an expensive frame.

Road debris

Gravel, stones and road debris can be thrown against the frame at speed, causing chips and surface damage.

Cable rub

Brake and gear cables can gradually rub against the frame, particularly around head tubes, handlebars and frame interfaces.

Chain slap

Off-road riding can expose the chainstay and rear triangle to repeated impacts from the chain.

Heel & shoe rub

Regular riding can cause subtle but noticeable wear where shoes and heels contact the frame.

Transport damage

Bike racks, storage systems and transportation can create scratches and contact marks — sometimes before you've even ridden the bike.

Everyday wear

Cleaning, handling and normal use can gradually take their toll on a premium finish.

PPF provides a sacrificial layer between your bike and the things that can damage it.

Protection tailored to your bike

Choose how much protection you want. Not every rider needs the same level of coverage, so we offer a range of options tailored to your bike, riding style and budget.

Essential Protection

Our entry-level package focuses on the areas most susceptible to everyday damage — typically the down tube, top tube, head tube, chainstays and other high-contact areas.

Ideal for: Road cyclists, commuters and riders looking for targeted protection.

Full Frame Protection

Comprehensive protection for your investment, with extensive coverage across the major painted surfaces — top tube, down tube, seat tube, head tube, chainstays, seatstays, fork and other vulnerable areas — helping to keep the entire bike looking newer for longer.

Ideal for: High-value carbon bikes, premium builds and owners who want maximum protection.

Gloss, satin or matt

Protection shouldn't compromise the way your bike looks. The right PPF should complement the original finish of your frame.

Gloss

Our most popular option for gloss-painted and lacquered frames. Designed to maintain the depth, clarity and gloss of the original finish while providing an additional layer of protection.

Satin & Matt

For frames with satin or matt finishes, specialist films can be used to maintain the intended appearance. We'll assess the original finish of your bike and recommend the most appropriate film for the job.

The objective is simple: protection that doesn't detract from the design of the bike.

Carbon fibre protection

Because replacing a frame isn't cheap.

High-end carbon frames represent a significant investment. They're lightweight, beautifully engineered and designed to perform — but their finishes can still be vulnerable to cosmetic damage.

PPF is particularly valuable on carbon bikes because it allows you to protect the painted and lacquered surfaces without covering the bike in bulky guards or visually intrusive protection.

For owners of premium road bikes, MTB, gravel bikes and e-bikes, preventative protection can make considerably more sense than repairing cosmetic damage later.

Protect your investment from day one.

The perfect time to apply PPF?

Before your first ride.

A brand-new bike is the perfect candidate for PPF. Rather than waiting until your first chips, scratches and rub marks appear, protecting the frame from the outset means the original finish stays protected from day one.

And if you've already put some miles on your bike, that's no problem either. We'll assess the existing finish and determine whether any additional preparation is required before the film is installed.

New bike or old favourite — we'll protect it accordingly.

More than just frame protection

Your frame isn't the only part of your bike that can suffer from everyday wear. Depending on the bike and its intended use, additional protection can be considered for vulnerable areas and components.

Whether you're looking to protect a £10,000+ road bike, a premium MTB or your favourite bike that you've owned for years, we'll help you identify where PPF can provide the most benefit.

If it matters to you, it's worth protecting.
